Brevard College alumnus Juan Mascaro Jr. was named Head Women’s Soccer Coach in 2026, becoming just the second head coach in the program’s NCAA Division III era. A former student-athlete and longtime member of the Tornados coaching staff, Mascaro Jr. steps into the role following a historic stretch of success for the program, having played an integral part in building one of the top teams in the USA South Conference.
Mascaro Jr. served four seasons as Associate Head Coach, helping guide the Tornados to unprecedented achievements, including back-to-back USA South Conference Regular Season Championships (2024, 2025) and the program’s first-ever USA South Conference Tournament Title in 2025. That same season, Brevard advanced to its first NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Championship appearance, finishing with an 18-1-1 overall record and a perfect 16-0-0 mark in the regular season.
Mascaro Jr. has been instrumental in player development, mentoring numerous All-Conference performers and major award winners, including the program’s first USA South Player of the Year and multiple Goalkeeper of the Year honorees. His coaching emphasizes a high-performance culture built on discipline, teamwork, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
Before joining the women’s program, Mascaro Jr. served as an Assistant Coach for Brevard College men’s soccer and gained additional collegiate coaching experience at Emory & Henry University.
A 2016 graduate of Brevard College, Mascaro Jr. earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business and Organizational Leadership. He also holds a Master’s degree in Sports Management from Georgia Southern University. He carries a United States Soccer Federation “C” License, a National Goalkeeper certification, and maintains active membership in United Soccer Coaches.
