Eric Friedt was named the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Brevard College in 2024, and enters his second season with the Tornados in 2025.
Friedt arrived at Brevard College from Akron, Ohio where he was a head coach and an assistant coach for multiple Junior Olympic Girls Volleyball teams with NOVA Juniors. In addition for the past several seasons, he served as the Head JV Girls Volleyball Coach and the Assistant Boys Volleyball Coach at Stow-Munroe Falls High School in Stow, Ohio.
In addition to his coaching experience, Friedt has gained experience with top-flight sports organizations in Northeast Ohio. He served as an intern for Enshrinement Week in 2019 for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Also in 2019, he worked as an Annual Giving Programs Associate for the International Soap Box Derby Headquarters.
Furthermore, Friedt has served the community as a mentor at The Lebron James Family Foundation's I Promise School and as a swim instructor for the Akron Public School system.
Friedt graduated Cum Laude from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Studies-Sport Management with a Minor in Business Administration. While at the University of Akron, Friedt founded the school's Men's Volleyball Club team.
