BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College men's soccer team (4-2-1, 1-0-0 USA South) earned a 3-0 shutout victory over Greensboro College (2-9-1, 0-1-0 USAS) on Wednesday afternoon at Ives-Lemel Family Field. 
Fifth-year senior forward Ryan Lynch notched the 10th multi-goal performance of his illustrious BC career, as the Charlotte, North Carolina native scored twice to bring his career total to 43 goals. 
Luiz Pontes scored his fourth goal of the season, while Tiago Aguilar, Colin McCabe, Luis Portillo, and Vitor Razera all contributed assists. Matheus Rossi and the Tornado defense kept their third-consecutive clean sheet in a dominant defensive effort. 
Following a scoreless first half in which Brevard outshot Greensboro 12-5 and controlled a majority of the possesssion, Pontes broke through with a screamer in the 53rd minute of action to break the deadlock up. Just over 20 minutes later, Lynch scored his first goal of the match when McCabe played the ball to him off a slight defensive deflection, and the fifth-year Tornado buried the ball into the back of the net to double BC's advantage, 2-0, in the 77th minute. 
Brevard's dominant win was capped off in the 84th minute as Lynch rebounded and scored Aguilar's shot that hit off the post, giving the Tornados a comfortable lead with five minutes left that they carried to victory, 3-0. 
The Tornados outshot the Pride 31-6 and took a total of 10 corner kicks to Greensboro's one. 
Brevard is back in action this Saturday on the road, traveling to Fayetteville, North Carolina to face Methodist University at 2 p.m.
