GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Brevard College volleyball team (10-4, 2-2 USA South) fell 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-9) to Greensboro College (11-5, 4-2 USAS) on Wednesday afternoon at Haynes Gymnasium in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Caroline Moon, Jaxson Tumicki, and Casey Wampler led the way with three kills each, while Emma Fontana served up two aces. Bailey Lance led the defense with 19 digs, and Kylie Katcher totaled six assists.
The hosts were paced by Kelci Brooks' 11 kills, and Jaylyn Templeton distributed 27 assists on the offensive end. Defensively, Morgan Mayfield logged 23 digs, and Taylor Cotie logged three solo blocks.
Greensboro, alongside Pfeiffer University's volleyball team, started a Pack The Bus campaign, collecting essential items to send back on BC's bus for people in the Western North Carolina community dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
The Tornados are slated to host a tri match on Saturday at the Boshamer Gymnasium as BC welcomes in Mary Baldwin and Methodist. BC and MBU will begin the tri-match at 12 p.m., followed by the neutral site contest at 2 p.m. Brevard and Methodist will conclude the day with a match slated for around 4 p.m.
