NCAA Program Record Win Streak Stretched to Seven Matches for BC Women’s Soccer

Mozley Scores Two in Road Victory

PINEVILLE, N.C. - The Brevard College women's soccer team (11-0-2) continued to pile on the records, as the Tornados won their NCAA-era record seventh match in a row with a 3-0 non-conference victory at Johnson & Wales - Charlotte (5-6-3) on Tuesday evening at the OrthoCarolina Sports Complex in Pineville, North Carolina.

Brevard, who continued its 13-match unbeaten streak with the victory, notched its third-straight 3-0 win. The Tornados also kept their ninth clean sheet of the season, as Brevard has held shutouts in 70% of its matches in 2024.

Freshman forward Kinlee Mozley recorded her third multi-goal game of the 2024 season, finding the back of the net twice to secure her third brace of her first collegiate campaign. Competing in her first match since September 21 and making her first start as a member of the Tornados, graduate forward Elis Diniz scored her second penalty kick of the season.

Nicole Arroyo (6-0) made her sixth start of the season and recorded a season-high seven saves en route to the third complete-game shutout of 2024 for the Yulee, Florida native.

Dinis opened the scoring for Brevard following a foul in the box in the 12th minute. The graduate forward stepped up and finished the penalty kick off, giving BC the lead 1-0.

Mozley found the back of the net in the 38th minute, as the Tornados notched their second goal of the first half when Brennan Howell played a through ball to Mozley. The Lexington, South Carolina product used a big touch to get space and fired the ball into the back of the net.

Brevard would take its 2-0 edge into halftime. Mozley attempted BC's first two shots of the second half through the first 10 minutes of action, as she finished with a team-high five shot attempts.

Mozley put the game to bed in the 81st minute as Mikayla Rubin found her with a through pass for the score.

Brevard won comfortably despite being outshot 14-9 in the match, although each side managed seven shots-on-goal apiece.

The Tornados return home for USA South Conference play on Thursday at 4 p.m. as William Peace visits town.
