MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Brevard College volleyball team (15-11, 7-9 USA South) completed a season sweep of Pfeiffer University (5-24, 2-15 USAS) with a 3-1 match victory (25-14, 17-25, 25-22, 25-15) on Tuesday evening in Misenheimer, North Carolina.
Brevard dominated the first set 25-14, but the Falcons answered back with a 25-17 win in the second set. BC claimed a tight third set, 25-22, and wrapped up the match win with a 25-15 win in the final set.
Makenna Parkins led all Tornados with 11 kills, while Jaxson Tumicki added eight kills. The freshman trio of Emma Fontana, Caroline Moon, and Casey Wampler all had seven kills apiece.
Izzy Boulay recorded a double-double of 37 assists and a team-high 16 digs. Bailey Lance recorded 15 digs to help pace Brevard's defense.
Pfeiffer was led by Madison Tate's eight kills while Kylee Marberry and Karmen Rion logged 14 and 12 assists respectively.
Brevard will conclude the regular season with two matches at William Peace this weekend. BC and WPU first play on Friday at 5 p.m. before the regular season finale on Saturday at 12 p.m.
