NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Brevard College softball team (4-7) earned a 4-1 victory over Gwynedd Mercy University (2-3) on Tuesday evening in BC's second day at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Comple. 

Junior pitcher Abby Delp (3-2) pitched a complete game, throwing all seven innings allowing just four hits and one run with three strikeouts. Four Tornados recorded multiple hits, with Jadyn Harlow recording a double and a team-high two RBI. Olivia Martinez, KateLynn Olive, and Regan Winkler all had two singles each, MacKenzie Wilborne and Winkler recorded RBIs, and Gabby Hooper logged a double. Karley Queen added a pair of stolen bases as well. 

Harlow got the scoring started for Brevard with an RBI double after Queen got in scoring position via a leadoff walk, stolen base, and sacrifice bunt. Brevard got another score in the bottom of the third, capitalizing on an error by the Griffins. 

A pinch-hit RBI double pulled Gwynedd Mercy within a run in the top of the fourth, but Brevard answered back in the bottom of the fourth with two runs. Those two scores were all the insurance that Delp and the Tornado defense needed, as BC shut out Gwynedd Mercy over the course of the final three innings to wrap up the three-run victory. 

The Tornados are in action twice tomorrow, facing The College of New Jersey at 9 a.m. and FDU Florham at 3 p.m.
