MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Brevard College men's lacrosse team (2-11, 0-5 USA South) fell 23-2 to first-place Pfeiffer University (7-6, 6-0 USAS) on Wednesday evening in Misenheimer, North Carolina.

Brevard scored two goals in the contest, both coming in the second half. Pfeiffer meanwhile led 18-0 at halftime, before outscoring BC 5-2 in the second half.

Gage Khayat and senior
Jacob Hernandez both found the back of the net on unassisted goals for BC. Khayat's goal came with 1:34 remaining in the third quarter, his 17th of the season. Hernandez came up with his goal in the final seconds of the game. For Hernandez, it marked his third goal in the last three contests

Pfeiffer was led offensively by Quinn Becraft who led all players with five goals. Dylan Bryson and Zach Gignac each added three goals for the host Falcons.

Scott Bundy started in goal for BC and recorded 14 saves. Pfeiffer used several goalkeepers with starter Oliver Buch playing the most minutes and earning the win.

The Falcons outshot the Tornados 53-16 in the contest. The margin narrowed in the second half as BC recorded five shots in the third quarter and eight in the fourth.

Next up for Brevard is a home match on Senior Night on Saturday at 7 p.m. vs. USA South rival Huntingdon. A Senior Night ceremony honoring BC's 2024 senior class with precede the contest.
