BREVARD, N.C. - Brevard College men's soccer (5-5-4, 2-3-1 USA South)) tallied a season-best 34 shots and scored four times in a dominant 4-0 shutout over Mary Baldwin (2-12-1, 0-6-0 USAS) on Senior Day Saturday at Ives-Lemel Family Field.
Prior to the contest, five BC seniors were honored in a special pre-match ceremony - Hayden Domingo, Caue dos Santos, Will Finney, Martin Moguel Aguilar, and Leonardo Zabeu.
Four different Tornados got on the scoresheet, with junior forward Roi Abutbul scoring his team-leading sixth goal of the season. Tristan Bayssade, dos Santos, and Finney also scored for Brevard, with Bayssade, Juan Chavez, German Garcia, and Jerick Moreno all distributing assists.
Freshman goalkeeper Manuel Tovar Hagstrom notched a clean sheet with five saves, while Gabriel Soderqvist also saw action in between the sticks.
BC maintained a dominant 34-9 shot advantage, including a staggering 19-2 mark in the second half. Brevard took a tot of eight corner kicks, and fired 15 total shots on goal forcing 11 MBU saves.
Abutbul's sixth goal of 2025 came in the 11th minute off assists by Bayssade and Chavez, opening the offensive attack for the Tornados. A mere 1:23 later, dos Santos converted a free kick just outside the penalty box to double the Tornados lead, 2-0.
Bayssade converted a crafty build-up with Moreno, giving BC its third goal of the contest in the 78th minute. Finney capped off senior day in style with an 83rd minute score off Garcia's corner kick.
Brevard will close out the 2025 regular season in Misenheimer, N.C. on Wednesday, October 29 at 7 p.m. against Pfeiffer.
