WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Salem College (16-4, 6-2 USA South) swept Brevard College (4-14, 2-5 USAS) in straight sets, 25-13, 25-11, 25-14, for a 3-0 victory in USA South Conference action.
 
Salem spurted ahead and never relented in the first set, cruising to a 25-13 win. The Tornados produced eight kills but committed seven errors, while the Spirits tallied 12 kills to just threemiscues.
 
The second frame was more of the same from the Spirits, ending with a dominant 25-11 result. Salem carried its momentum to the third and final set. The Spirits posted 12 kills and hit .444 for the set to close the match out 25-14 to seal the sweep.
 
Jaxson Tumicki posted 11 kills and hit .318, leading the attack for the Tornados. Izzy Boulay distributed 20 assists to spark much of Brevard's offense, while Abigail Kelly anchored the defense with 10 digs.
 
On Salem's side, Aspen Bradley tallied 10 kills on just 16 attempts, hitting at a scorching .625 rate. Ella Brameus added 7 kills and 4 aces, while Leah Rymer contributed 22 assists.
 
The Tornados return home on Saturday at 11 a.m. to host Meredith at the Boshamer Gymnasium, as part of the Homecoming 2025 festivities at Brevard College.
