BREVARD, N.C. – Three Brevard College men's soccer student-athletes have been selected as Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators.
 
Since 2022, the Tornados have earned a total of 12 Academic All-District men's soccer accolades from CSC.
 
Roi Abutbul, Martin Moguel Aguilar, and Leonardo Zabeu all earn the first Academic All-District honors of their collegiate careers.
 
Abutbul, a junior forward from Jerusalem, Israel, majoring in Business & Organizational Leadership, made a big impact in his first season with the Tornados in 2025. Making 12 appearances with 10 starts, Abutbul scored a team-high six goals in his first season at Brevard.
 
Moguel Aguilar, a senior defender from Mexico City, Mexico, turned in a strong season in his final collegiate playing year. A Communication major at BC, Moguel Aguilar made 15 appearances with 14 starts, logging over 1,100 minutes while distributing an assist for the Tornados.
 
Zabeu, a graduate student completing his Master's of Business Administration at BC, appeared 15 times with 14 starts, scoring twice with an assist in 1,056 minutes played. The Sao Paulo, Brazil native played for two seasons at BC. 
 
The 2025 Academic All-District Men's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
