BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College men's lacrosse team (1-3) fell 20-4 to Hanover College (4-1) on Friday evening at Ives-Lemel Family Field.
 
BC's offense was led by 
Gage Khayat, who scored a pair of goals on seven total shot attempts. 
Scott Bundy and 
Joseph Piazza scored one goal apiece, with 
Michael Peters logging BC's lone assist. 
Devian Anderson paced BC's defensive efforts with three caused turnovers while controlling five ground balls, while 
Logan Southern went 13-for-28 on faceoffs and grabbed six ground balls. Peters, Bundy, and 
Jack Hicks added four GBs apiece, with Hicks totaling 17 saves in the cage.
 
The Panthers were led by Owen Parker, who was dominant offensively with nine total points (seven goals, two assists). Kasey Hospelhorn and Colin O'Brien added three goals apiece as eight different Hanover players found the back of the net.
 
Hanover outshot Brevard 55-19, while the Tornados recorded 17 saves to HC's three. Hanover forced Brevard into 37 turnovers (16 caused), while the visitors were highly efficient on clear attempts, converting 26-of-28. HC controlled possession throughout with 63 ground balls, and narrowly edged BC in faceoffs, 15-to-13. The Panthers went 1-for-2 on extra-man opportunities in the third quarter.
 
Brevard is back home next Tuesday, March 4, hosting the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford with the first faceoff slated for 6 p.m. at Ives-Lemel Family Field.
