BC dominated Scranton after a narrow 4-2 defeat against Penn College of Technology, in contests that were delayed over three hours due to weather and field conditions.

BC plated 15 runs on 11 hits, and slugged a total of five extra-base hits with a total of 13 RBI in the second contest of the day, originally scheduled for 5 p.m. that didn't get underway until just after 9:30 p.m.
MacDougall hit her first collegiate home run, a three-run inside-the-park shot that kickstarted a massive nine-run inning for the Tornados in the bottom of the second, flipping the game on its head. BC added three more in the bottom of the fourth to reach the run-rule threshold.
Rylee Locklear and Regan Winkler each totaled two RBI apiece, with Summer Crist, Andrea Furr, Karley Queen, and Valarie Sorrell all logging extra-base hits as well.
BC's Deana McMinn secured her first collegiate victory in the circle, coming in for 4.2 innings of relief. The West Henderson HS product allowed just three hits and one run, while striking out six total batters.
The Nittany Lions struck first in the top of the first, scoring runs on an RBI single, a passed ball, and an RBI groundout. BC answered back in the bottom of the inning with a Locklear two-RBI single and an RBI double by Furr.
MacDougall circled the basepaths in the bottom of the second, giving BC a huge momentum shift with her three-run homer. Winkler followed suit with a two-RBI single, and then BC kept pouring it on with two runners coming across on a passed ball and Queen adding a two-RBI double to her ledger.
Scranton managed a run in the top of the fourth, but BC put the game to bed with three runs in the bottom of the frame on two RBI singles and an RBI double.
PENN COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY 4, BREVARD 2
The Wildcats got things going in a hurry, loading the bases in the top of the first with a pair of infield singles and a HBP. A double steal allowed PCT to score their first run of the ballgame, and an errant throw on another double steal attempt made it 2-0. Finally, an RBI single up the middle put BC in an early hole down 3-0.
PCT tacked on another run after three consecutive base hits. Logan Masinsky entered the circle in relief, holding the Wildcats in check for the rest of the contest. The sophomore from Columbia, South Carolina hurled 5.2 innings of scoreless ball after entering the contest in the top of the second inning.
Brevard got a rally going in the bottom of the third inning, as the Nados cut the deficit in half with two runs in the frame. Masinsky drew a leadoff walk at the plate before an infield single bunt by Queen. Winkler successfully advanced both runners with a sacrifice bunt, and Analee Morris followed suit with an infield single. Crist then drew a bases-loaded walk to score BC's first run of the contest, and a wild pitch brought Queen in as BC pulled within two.
The Tornados threatened again in the bottom of the fifth, as Winkler led the inning off with a single. Anna Graves came in to pinch run, advancing to second on Morris' sac bunt. A fielder's choice erased Graves, but Alyssa Boris drew a two-out walk placing runners at first and second. The Wildcats evaded damage thanks to a flyout.
BC was only able to get a single baserunner aboard in the final two innings, as PCT held on for the two-run win.
Morris, Queen, and Winkler recorded hits for the Tornados, with Masinsky and Queen scoring runs.
The loss evens the all-time series to 1-1 between the two schools, who first met at the 2020 edition of the Fast Pitch Dreams Classic.
BC returns to play Wednesday, competing at the Central Park facility in a pair of contests against Dean College (11 a.m.) and Penn State Harrisburg (1 p.m.).
