DEMOREST, Ga. – Brevard College senior goalkeeper
Jack Hicks surpassed the 500 career save mark, but the Tornados (2-9, 0-4 USA South) dropped a road contest 28-2 to Piedmont University (7-3, 4-0 USAS) on Tuesday evening at the Walker Athletic Complex in Demorest, Georgia.
Hicks, a fourth-year Tornado from Greensboro, North Carolina who holds the career saves record for BC men's lacrosse, totaled 19 saves to bring his career total to 518. Hicks also logged seven ground balls to eclipse the 100-career ground ball mark.
Michael Peters and
Brice Peterson each registered goals for the Tornados, while
Joseph Piazza added an assist with five ground balls. Peters leads all Tornados with 23 goals this season, while Peterson added his sixth goal of 2025. Piazza's assist was the sixth of 2025 for the first-year Tornado from Las Vegas, Nevada.
Piedmont was led by Ian Parr who scored four times. Isaac Harrington totaled an impressive seven assists with three goals for 10 points. Five Lions had hat tricks, eight had multiple goals, and 13 total Piedmont players found the back of the net on Tuesday.
The Tornados are next in action on Saturday as Brevard heads to Cary, North Carolina to face William Peace at 2 p.m.
