CARY, N.C. – The Brevard College women's soccer team (8-0-0, 3-0-0 USA South) kept its perfect start intact with a 2-0 win over William Peace University (1-6-1, 0-3-0 USAS) on Tuesday afternoon at WakeMed Soccer Park.
The Tornados extended their unbeaten streak to 26 matches dating to the end of the 2023 season. Through eight matches this fall, Brevard has outscored opponents 45-1 and continues to rank among the nation's statistical leaders.
Senior midfielder
Kiara Porcelli opened the scoring in the 10th minute off an assist from sophomore forward
Kinlee Mozley, her second goal of the season and the eventual game-winner. Senior forward
Olivia Guillermo doubled the lead in the 39th minute with her second straight scoring performance.
Peace goalkeeper Gaby Vazquez registered 17 saves, including several strong stops to keep the Pacers within reach.
Brevard came out firing with six shots in the opening nine minutes, four on target, before Porcelli buried a strike into the top-right corner off Mozley's feed.

Nico Arroyo combined for the clean sheet, splitting time in goal.
Guillermo's goal came after she dispossessed a defender, cut inside and finished from close range. By halftime, Brevard held a 15-1 advantage in shots, including 10-1 on goal, and took four corner kicks.
Porcelli nearly added to the lead in the 49th minute but was denied by Vazquez. Arroyo stopped Navarrete Trejos again in the 53rd to preserve the shutout.
The Tornados finished with a 28-2 edge in shots, including 19 on goal, while recording their seventh shutout of the season.
Brevard continues conference play Saturday at noon at Methodist in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
