BREVARD, N.C. – Brevard College senior multi-event athlete Jaxsen Wilkerson was selected as the USA South Conference Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week following a stellar individual performance at the Mid-Winter Collegiate Invite in Mill Spring, N.C.
 
Wilkerson competed in two events at the Mid-Winter Collegiate Invitational last week. In the triple jump, with a leap of 14.32 meters, Wilkerson set a new USA South and program record. Also, in the long jump, Wilkerson is currently tied for the six-best mark of the season, 6.41 meters.
 
Wilkerson, a 2024 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field National Championship qualifier, joins Antonio King as Tornados to earn Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors this season.
 
The Tornados will continue their Indoor season on Friday at the East Coast Elites in Mill Spring, N.C.
