Historic Night at The Bosh for BC MBB

Carnes Drops Career-High 33, Horton Reaches 1,000, Tornados Set New Single-Game FG%, FT% Highs

BREVARD, N.C. - Senior forward Jadon Carnes dropped a career-high 33 points, while senior guard KK Horton became the seventh member of Brevard College men's basketball's NCAA-era 1,000-point club as the Tornados (9-14, 3-10 USA South) scored their most single-game points since 2012 with a 108-81 triumph over Greensboro (9-14, 5-8 USAS) on Tuesday night at the Boshamer Gymnasium.

Carnes, a senior forward from Concord, N.C., exploded for 33 points on a highly impressive 15-of-17 mark from the field. The forward hit three 3-pointers, while also notching five rebounds and four assists. The 33 points scored are the most in a single game for a Tornado since Quincy Carter scored 33 at Warren Wilson (Nov. 29, 2022).

Horton, a senior guard from Asheville, N.C., put a bow on his stellar Tornado career in the final week of the season by becoming the seventh Tornado in the NCAA era to score 1,000 points all at BC. Horton joins teammate Carnes, who accomplished the feat earlier this season. The senior scored 11 points in the victory and dished out a team-best eight dimes.

Twain Wilson continued his stellar sophomore campaign with 15 points and three made 3-pointers. Dre'Shaun Brown poured in 11 points and six assists, with Tyler Baldwin reaching double digits off the bench with 10 points as well.

Brevard shot a season-high 66.1% from the field, making 41 of its 62 field goal attempts, while also hitting 56.5% of its 3-pointers for a season benchmark. BC's 66.1% from the field narrowly sets a new program NCAA-era single-game high, surpassing the previous mark of 66% set on Feb. 1, 2012, against Mars Hill.

The Tornados hit all 13 of their free throw attempts on the evening as well, setting a new single-game program record for free throw percentage in a contest (min. 10 attempts).

Brevard recorded assists on 27 of its 41 made field goals, and forced 17 Greensboro turnovers with 12 steals while outscoring the Pride 24-8 in points off turnovers, 21-15 in transition, and 52-42 in the paint.

Greensboro tried to keep pace as Quamir Ingram had 23 points, with Nigel Chivers (16 points) and Shamari Johnson (13 points) also reaching double figures. The Pride never held a lead since 15:06 in the first half, as Brevard surged to a double-digit lead and never looked back, exacting revenge for an overtime loss earlier in the season in Greensboro.

The Tornados will conclude 2025-26 with Senior Day on Saturday at 4 p.m. versus NC Wesleyan. Brown, Carnes, Zane Caudle, and Caleb Duncan will all be honored during the pregame ceremony.
