DANVILLE, Ky. - The Brevard College baseball team (7-4) was unable to keep pace with Dominican (2-0), as the Tornados fell 14-4 to close out action on the campus of Centre College on Sunday.
Both sides scored runs in the first frame, with Dominican up 2-1. The Stars scratched across runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings to build up a four-run lead.Â
Brevard took advantage of several Dominican errors in the bottom of the sixth to trim the deficit down to one run, 5-4. The Stars would go on to score four runs in the seventh and five in the ninth to wrap up the 10-run victory.Â
Davis Anders, Tyson Hinkle, and Moe Love all recorded base hits, while Love Jr. swiped two of Brevard's five total stolen bases.Â
BC wraps up a home-and-home against Guilford on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Greensboro, N.C.Â
