BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College women's lacrosse team (3-9, 2-5 USA South) fell 22-1 to Methodist (11-5, 6-2 USAS) on Saturday morning at Ives-Lemel Family Field.
Senior midfielder
Xan Hill scored BC's lone goal on a free-position attempt in the fourth period. The score marked Hill's 30
th of the season, and 137
th of her collegiate career. The fourth-year Tornado also caused a turnover and controlled four draws in the contest.
Freshman defender
Natalie Lopez Velez caused three Monarch turnovers, bringing her season total to 17.
Kyla Smith-Fondall made 11 saves in the cage, bringing her season total to 170 and her career mark to 438.
The Monarchs scored 10 goals in the first quarter to establish a commanding grip on the matchup. Nine different Methodist players found the back of the net, with four scoring multiple goals, led by Lalya Wiesenfeld's seven goals and Julia Mundy's six assists.
The Tornados close out the 2026 regular season on Sunday at 11 a.m. vs. Meredith, before a rematch against the top-seeded Avenging Angels in the First Round of the 2026 USA South Women's Lacrosse Tournament next Saturday, April 25, in Raleigh, N.C.
