BREVARD, N.C. – Brevard College softball earned five selections onto the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.

Hayden Moody all garnered the prestigious honor.
Auciello, a recent graduate of BC with a Bachelor's degree in Childhood Education: Elementary (K-6), was the premier force for the Tornados in the circle in 2026. The Umatilla, Florida left-handed pitcher logged a grand total of 103.2 innings in 2026, earing five wins with 12 complete games and two shutouts, maintaining a 5.20 ERA while logging 54 strikeouts. Auciello totaled nine wins with 17 complete games, four shutouts, and 90 strikeouts over the course of her two seasons with the Tornados.
Boris, a rising senior from Huger, South Carolina, made 28 appearances with 27 starts for the Tornados in 2026, batting .308 with 24 hits, 16 RBI, and five doubles while drawing 10 walks at the dish. Boris is working towards her degree in Exercise Science at BC.
Furr, a rising senior from Richfield, North Carolina, was a catalyst for the Tornado offense, leading all players with a .462 batting average, 17 extra-base hits, and 31 RBI in 34 starts in 2026. Furr recorded multiple hits in 16 contests this season, is working towards her degree in Biology at BC, and secured All-Conference accolades from the USA South.
Locklear, a rising senior from Candler, North Carolina, earned All-Conference honors in 2026 hitting .307 with 27 base hits, 19 runs scored,16 RBI, four doubles, and three triples. The Tornado middle-infielder entering her fourth season with Brevard will finish up her degree at BC in Criminal Justice.
Moody, a rising senior from Gaston, South Carolina, served as BC's main DP in 2026, hitting .277 with 23 hits, 15 runs scored, and 18 RBI while securing USA South Player of the Week accolades once. Moody is currently working towards a degree in Childhood Education: Elementary (K-6) at BC.
Brevard softball's five CSC Academic All-District honorees matches a program-best mark set in 2023.
The 2026 Academic All-District Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
