BREVARD, N.C. – Xan Hill and Adam Douglas have been named athletics graduate assistants at Brevard College, announced Associate Vice President for Athletics Dr. Myranda Crews.
Hill and Douglas will begin their duties effective immediately.
"Our graduate assistants will play a vital role in the success of Brevard College Athletics, and we are excited to welcome this outstanding duo to our department," said Crews. "Adam and Xan bring energy, professionalism, and passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field. Graduate assistantships provide valuable hands-on experience in collegiate athletics while also strengthening our ability to serve our student-athletes and coaches. We look forward to the impact each of them will have on our department and to supporting their growth as future leaders in the profession."
Hill joins the Tornados' staff after a successful four-year career as a women's lacrosse student-athlete. The Fort Mill, South Carolina native totaled 223 points in her career, scoring 137 goals and 86 assists in her four seasons with the Tornados. Hill scored a career-high 70 points in her junior season, and scored a career-high eight goals in a single game in her senior season against Warren Wilson.
Hill graduated from Brevard College in the spring with her degree in Business and Organizational Leadership.
Douglas begins his graduate assistantship following four years on the gridiron, consistently delivering as one of the top receiving targets for the Tornados. He accumulated 300 or more receiving yards in three of his four seasons, totaling almost 1,600 yards in his career. Douglas earned a first team All-Conference nod in his senior season, recording a career-high 755 receiving yards with five touchdowns. He had a career-high 125 yards against Erskine, including a 77-yard touchdown.
Douglas earned his undergraduate degree in Physical Education and Recreation from Brevard College in the spring.
Hill and Douglas' success as student-athletes and institutional knowledge make them exciting additions to the Brevard College athletics staff.
