BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College women's track & field team has secured All-Academic Team honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
 
BC earns the honor after maintaining a team GPA of 3.46 for the 2025-26 academic year.
 
The Tornados earned several accolades over the course of the 2026 indoor and outdoor track & field campaigns. Makynna McDonald won the USA South Indoor Long Jump Conference Championship, while Akeelah Hurley earned second in the 60-Meter Dash. Elizabeth Foster rounded out BC's Indoor All-Conference honorees with a third-place finish in the 60-Meter Hurdles.
 
On the Outdoor side, the 4x100 Meter Relay squad of Hurley, Serenity Jordan, Makynna McDonald, and Imani Singleton secured second place at the 2026 USA South Outdoor Championships, with Singleton also notching a third-place medal in the Long Jump.
