Brevard, N.C.- The Brevard College men's tennis team lost an 8-1 match to the Carson-Newman Eagles at the McCoy Tennis Complex on Friday afternoon in the Tornados final match of the 2013 season.

Brevard's David Taggart beat Carson-Newman's Derek Holdway 6-3 in the first set and was on top 4-2 in the second set before Holdway retired, giving Taggart the victory. The freshman improved to 5-4 in SAC singles play on the year.

The Tornados finish the year 2-17 and winless in South Atlantic Conference competition.
