BLUEFIELD, Va. - Brevard softball had its two most prolific games of the 2016 season on Sunday afternoon, pounding out 31 hits to roll over Bluefield by scores of 7-2 and 12-5.

The Tornados (13-27) seized the lead in the early stages of both contests and coasted to its fourth doubleheader sweep of the season. Jamie Hrobak earned the win in both contests, allowing two runs on eight hits in 5.0 innings in Game One before a two-run, five-hit performance in 5.1 innings of the second game. Hrobak tallied 14 strikeouts on the afternoon without walking a single batter.

All but two Tornados recorded at least one hit in the 7-2 Game One victory. Ashleigh Ivey was 3-for-4 with a run scored in her first career three-hit outing. Kinny Davis recorded three hits for the sixth time in her career to go along with a run scored and one batted in, while Paige Atkison was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI.

Davis again recorded three hits in a 12-5 win for the Tornados in the afternoon's second game. She was joined by Lauren Parker, who went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a pair batted in for her fourth career three-hit game.

Bluefield (11-25) took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning of the first contest before the Tornados took a lead they would not relinquish with four runs in the third inning. Kinsey Parrish's two-run double to deep center scored Parker and Davis to flip the lead into Brevard's favor. Moments later, Atkison drove Parrish in with a single to right field before Brittan Miller's RBI fielder's choice made the score 4-0.

Atkison got the scoring started in the fifth inning with a home run to left field. Hrobak and Davis also provided run-scoring hits later in the inning.

A full recap of Game Two is unavailable due to incomplete statistics provided by the host institution. Brevard will host Lincoln Memorial in a South Atlantic Conference doubleheader Monday beginning at 2:00 p.m.
