BC Men's Tennis Concludes Play at Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Brevard College men's tennis team (3-10) dropped two matches Tuesday to conclude a five-match Spring Break swing in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.  

BC fell 9-0 to Morningside College (Iowa) in a morning affair before an 8-1 defeat to Baldwin Wallace University on Tuesday evening.

Brevard's lone victory on the day came in number two doubles against Baldwin-Wallace in the nightcap . BC's team of junior Ethan McGee and senior Andrew Ingram were sharp in the match, taking a decisive 8-1 victory. 

BWU however swept through singles play to take the win over the Tornados.

In Tuesday's morning match vs. Morningside, BC's James Srisich and Devin Horton played a competitive match in number one doubles, yet ultimately dropped an 8-4 defeat.  McGee's no. 1 singles match was the tightest amongst the solo competitions as he took Morningside's number one to a 7-6 result in the second set.

Brevard now will return to action with the start of USA South Conference play at Covenant on Saturday, March 19 in Lookout Mountain, Georgia.
