Box Score ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The Brevard College men's tennis team (0-9, 0-1 USAS) fell to host N.C. Wesleyan (6-4, 2-0 USAS) 9-0 in BC's USA South Conference season opener on Saturday afternoon at the Slick Family Foundation Tennis Center in Rocky Mount, N.C.
In doubles play, BC's team of
Hayden LeBlanc and
Devin Horton battled NCWU's number one singles team of Sean Keane and Rodrigo Murillo to an 8-3 decision.
James Srsich and
Brian Seon teamed up as Brevard's number two doubles team, while
David Hoyle and Charlie Bertanzetti played no. 3 doubles for BC.
After taking a 3-0 lead after doubles competition, N.C. Wesleyan swept all six singles matches to take the match. LeBlanc (no. 1), Horton (no. 2), Hoyle (no. 3), Seon (no. 4), Srsich (no. 5) and Bertanzetti (no. 6) all competed in singles play for the Tornados.
Brevard returns to action with its home conference opener vs. William Peace on Saturday, March 23 at the McCoy Tennis Complex. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
