Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Brevard College men's tennis team (3-13, 2-4 USA South) fell in a USA South Conference matchup 9-0 to host Methodist University (7-5, 3-1 USAS) on Saturday afternoon at the Gene Clayton Tennis Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

BC's number two doubles team of
Devin Horton and
Noah Lewis fought Methodist's Drew Guarnieri and Wills Belser in what proved to be the most competitive match of the day. Ultimately, the team of Guarnieri and Belser prevailed with an 8-4 victory.

The win on the number two line capped off a sweep of doubles play for the Monarchs. Matt Hierley and Harry Crokam defeated BC's team of
Bryce Bernitt and four-time USA South Conference Rookie of the Week Hayden Le Blanc 8-4 in number one doubles. Methodist also won in number three doubles to start the day.

LeBlanc played number one singles for Brevard, with Bernitt and Horton in the number two and three positions for the Tornados. Lewis represented BC in number four singles, while
David Hoyle and
Brian Seon competed in number five and six singles for the Tornados.Â

Methodist went on to win all six singles matches to complete the 9-0 victory.

The BC men's tennis returns to action on Saturday, April 20Â with a Senior Day match vs. Southern Virginia at the McCoy Tennis Complex on the campus of Brevard College.
