BC Men’s Tennis Concludes 2023-24 in Semifinals of the USA South Tournament

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – The Brevard College men's tennis team (5-13) fell 5-0 to nationally-ranked No. 18 North Carolina Wesleyan University (15-8), the top-seed and host of the 2024 USA South Conference Men's Tennis Tournament, in the semifinals on Friday afternoon in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

The Battling Bishops, who are ranked inside of the top 20 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's NCAA DIII Men's Tennis national poll, won all three of the doubles matches and clinched the match with two singles victories.

The defeat concludes the 2023-24 campaign for the Tornados, who earned their first postseason win since the 2010-11 season with a 5-3 defeat of Southern Virginia University on Monday afternoon at the McCoy Tennis Complex. BC men's tennis has qualified for the conference postseason in each of the last three seasons. Freshman Hayden LeBlanc earned four USA South Rookie of the Week awards and a USA South Player of the Week honor this season, while LeBlanc and junior Bryce Bernitt were each selected to the All-Conference Second Team. David Hoyle rounded out the Tornados with an All-Sportsmanship Team selection.
