Brevard Men’s Basketball Sets 2024-25 Schedule

BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College men's basketball program has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
 
"We are extremely excited about our upcoming season," commented Head Coach Lee Burgess. "The USA South Conference was very competitive league last year, and I would expect the same this year. Our team is also getting the chance to renew a few rivalries in the non-conference part of the schedule as well."
 
BC's schedule consists of 26 total contests which includes a pair of exhibitions. The Tornados will be at the Boshamer Gymnasium a total of 12 times over the course of the 2024-25 campaign, and will play 14 games within the USA South.
 
Brevard's season begins on Saturday, November 9 at 2 p.m. vs. Randolph at home, the start of a season-opening four-game homestand for the Tornados. The season opener is followed by home games vs. Covenant (Tuesday, November 12, 6 p.m.), Bob Jones (Thursday, November 14, 7 p.m.), and Warren Wilson (Saturday, November 16, 2 p.m.).
 
The Tornados will then take on Lees-McRae College in an exhibition on Tuesday, November 19 at 7 p.m. in Banner Elk, North Carolina, followed by a rematch at Warren Wilson in nearby Swannanoa, North Carolina at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 21. A busy November concludes with a Monday, November 25 test against former USA South foe LaGrange at 5 p.m. in LaGrange, Georgia.
 
Brevard will take on Bob Jones again, this time on the road in Greenville, South Carolina on Tuesday, December 3 at 7 p.m. BC's one and only NCAA DI exhibition will be the following day (Wednesday, December 4) in Spartanburg, South Carolina vs. USC Upstate, with tipoff time to-be-determined.
 
The final home contest of 2024 will take place on Saturday, December 14 at 2 p.m. against Piedmont. Brevard will take place in the Suyes Holiday Tournament in Ashland, Virginia hosted by Randolph-Macon College. BC plays Ursinus on Saturday, December 28 at 5 p.m., while its opponent the following Sunday is to-be-determined.
 
USA South Conference action starts at home for the Tornados, who face Southern Virginia University on Saturday, January 4 at 2 p.m. BC then will trek to Staunton, Virginia to take on defending USA South champion Mary Baldwin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7. Brevard returns home to tackle consecutive weekend opponents Methodist (Saturday, January 11, 2 p.m.) and NC Wesleyan (Sunday, January 12, 2 p.m.).
 
BC enjoys six days off before its next competition, a rematch of the first round of last year's tournament in Raleigh, North Carolina against William Peace on Saturday, January 18 at 2 p.m. The Tornados return to host Pfeiffer on Tuesday, January 21 at 5:30 p.m. and then hit the road once more to face Southern Virginia on Saturday, January 25 at 2 p.m. in Buena Vista, Virginia.
 
The Tornados will then prepare for two straight home contests as Greensboro (Wednesday, January 29, 5:30 p.m.) and Mary Baldwin (Saturday, February 1, 2 p.m.) come to town. Brevard then visits Misenheimer, North Carolina for its second midweek affair with Pfeiffer on Tuesday, February 4 (time tbd). Brevard will head down east on Saturday, February 8 at 2 p.m. for a test vs. Methodist in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
 
The final week of regular season competition will feature Senior Day 2025 on Saturday, February 15 at 2 p.m. vs. William Peace, and two final road dates (Tuesday, February 18, 5:30 p.m.) vs. Greensboro in Greensboro, North Carolina and (Saturday, February 22, 2 p.m.) vs. NC Wesleyan in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
 
The 2025 USA South Conference Men's Basketball Tournament kicks off on Tuesday, February 25 with first-round action. The semifinals will take place on Thursday, February 27, and Saturday, March 1 culminates the tournament with the championship contest.
 
Brevard enters 2024-25 on the heels of three-straight appearances in the USA South Conference Tournament, the first time in program NCAA history that BC has made three-consecutive postseasons.
