BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College football team has earned 10 total USA South All-Conference accolades in addition to a selection onto the All-Sportsmanship team, as the league announced its postseason awards.
A program-record six Tornados were selected to the USA South All-Conference First Team:
Ethan Beamish (QB),
Robert Dorsey (DL),
Adam Douglas (WR),
Obadiah Grimes (DL),
Garrett Hall (OL),
Baylee Ramey (LB).
Zion Fauntleroy-McDaniel (RB),
Jeremyah Lane (RET), and
Hayden Vandegriff (PK) all were selected as All-Conference Second Team honorees, and
Reggie Taylor II (WR) was an All-Conference Honorable Mention.
Jack Spotz represented the Tornados on the USA South All-Sportsmanship Team.
Beamish, BC's senior signal caller who is the program's all-time leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns, caps off his collegiate career with First Team honors for the first time. The Simpsonville, S.C. native threw for 2,131 yards in 2025 with 22 passing touchdowns and a career-low four interceptions, going 156-for-248 (63%). Beamish averaged 213 yards passing per game in 2025, averaging 13.7 yards per pass. The senior threw for a career-best 345 passing yards in a thrilling victory over Erskine (Sept. 20), and matched his career high with five passing touchdowns in a dominant victory over NC Wesleyan (Nov. 15). Beamish finishes his Tornado career with 6,921 passing yards and 70 passing touchdowns.
Dorsey, a senior defensive lineman from Charlotte, N.C., makes his third career appearance on the All-Conference First Team. The 2024 USA South Defensive Player of the Year and a Preseason All-America selection, Dorsey competed in eight contests for the Tornados in 2025, registering 38 total tackles (23 solo, 15 assisted) with a team-best 11 tackles for loss and five and a half sacks. Dorsey had a season-high eight tackles twice, vs. Kentucky Christian (Sept. 6) and at Greensboro (Oct. 25), recorded a staggering four TFL vs. Erskine (Sept. 20), and totaled 3.5 TFL and two sacks at Greensboro. Over his three-season playing career at Brevard, Dorsey registered 123 total tackles (64 solo, 59 assisted), had 36.5 TFL, and totaled 22 quarterback sacks with eight forced fumbles.
Douglas, a senior wide receiver from Greensboro, N.C., earns All-Conference honors for the first time after a breakout senior season in which he caught 50 passes for 755 yards and five touchdowns. The senior eclipsed 100 receiving yards twice, totaling a career high 125 yards in a victory over Erskine (Sept. 20) and totaling 116 yards in a win vs. Southern Virginia (Oct. 11). Douglas finishes up his collegiate career with 118 receptions for 1,599 yards and 14 touchdowns overall.
Grimes, a senior defensive lineman from Lawrenceville, Ga., makes his inaugural appearance on the USA South All-Conference team as a first-team selection after a season that included career highs in solo tackles (16), tackles for loss (seven), sacks (five), and forced fumbles (two). Grimes finished his collegiate career off in style, totaling a season-high six tackles with a TFL and a forced fumble in a win over NC Wesleyan (Nov. 15). Grimes had multiple sacks in two contests this season, bringing the QB down twice in wins at Greensboro (Oct. 25) and at Methodist (Nov. 8). All told in his four seasons at BC, Grimes racked up 104 total tackles (49 solo, 55 assisted), racked up 16.5 TFL, and wrangled down seven QB sacks with two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and a blocked kick.
Hall, a sophomore offensive lineman from Duncan, S.C., earns his first appearance on the USA South All-Conference team with a first-team honor. The second-year Tornado started nine of 10 contests for Brevard at left tackle in 2025, grading out as the highest-performing Tornado offensive lineman of the season. Hall was a part of two 200-plus rushing yard performances, and helped keep quarterback Beamish upright for entire games against Huntingdon (Nov. 1) and NC Wesleyan (Nov. 15).
Ramey, a senior linebacker from Yadkinville, N.C., used his breakout senior campaign to improve upon his All-Conference Honorable Mention finish from a season ago with his first appearance on the All-Conference First Team. Ramey notched a career-high 13 tackles twice, vs. Southern Virginia (Oct. 11) and at Greensboro (Oct. 25), and had double-digit tackles in four of 10 games this season. Ramey registered 77 total tackles (39 solo, 38 assisted) with six tackles for loss, two sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Throughout his four seasons at Brevard, Ramey totaled 168 tackles (73 solo, 95 assisted) and added 15 TFL, four sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries.
Fauntleroy-McDaniel, a sophomore running back from nearby Hendersonville, N.C., made waves in his first full season with the Tornado varsity team after spending his freshman campaign with the futures squad, landing himself on the All-Conference Second Team. The feature back totaled 611 rushing yards on 128 carries (4.77 ypc) and punched the ball into the end zone five times, while also adding 155 receiving yards on 21 receptions with two receiving touchdowns. Fauntleroy-McDaniel carried the ball 23 times for 125 yards and a touchdown in a victory over Southern Virginia (Oct. 11), and scored either rushing or receiving in seven of BC's 10 games in 2025.
Lane, a sophomore return specialist and wide receiver from Louisville, Ga., used a breakout second season with the Tornados to earn a spot on the All-Conference Second Team. The speedy return man returned 18 kickoffs for 608 yards and two touchdowns, with a 92-yard and a 90-yard kickoff return touchdown. Lane added 21 total punt returns for 359 yards and a pair of touchdowns with lengths of 75 yards and 50 yards. Additionally, Lane added a receiving touchdown and a rushing touchdown this season. For his efforts, Lane was selected as the USA South Special Teams Player of the Week once and earned D3football.com National Team of the Week honors as well. Lane currently ranks first in all of NCAA DIII Football in combined kick return yardage (967), is tied-for-first with two punt return touchdowns, is second with two kickoff return touchdowns, and is third and fourth nationally, averaging 33.8 yards per kickoff return and 17.1 yards per punt return.
Vandegriff, a first-year Tornado from Sautee Nacoochee, Ga., burst onto the scene in a big way his freshman campaign, serving as BC's primary place kicker for the last nine games of 2025. A two-time USA South Special Teams Player of the Week honoree, Vandegriff secures All-Conference Second Team accolades after going 10-for-16 on field goal attempts with a long of 41 in 2025, and drilling 31 of his 33 extra-point attempts. Vandegriff also kicked off 44 times for the Tornados, totaling 2,636 kickoff yards, averaging 59.9 yards per kickoff with 11 touchbacks.
Taylor II, a senior wideout from Charlotte, N.C., earns his first appearance on the All-Conference team with an Honorable Mention selection. The speedy wide receiver totaled a career best 489 receiving yards with six touchdowns on 26 receptions in 2025, averaging 48.9 yards per game and 18.8 yards per catch. Taylor II exploded for a career-high 138 yards and two touchdowns on seven receptions in a win over Erskine (Sept. 20), and concluded his collegiate career with 1,178 receiving yards on 61 receptions for 16 total touchdowns.
Spotz, a senior wide receiver from Bynum, N.C., represents the Tornados on the All-Sportsmanship Team. The fourth-year Tornado caught 23 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns as a member of BC football.
BC finished 2025 with six overall wins for the second consecutive season, and the Tornados went 3-0 against in-state opposition in 2025 (Greensboro, Methodist, and NC Wesleyan) to secure the inaugural "Spirit of the Old North" trophy with the best record amongst in-state opponents within the USA South Conference.
