BREVARD, N.C. – Brevard College women's soccer duo
Kinlee Mozley and
Abby Nunez were honored by the USA South as the Conference announced its weekly awards.
Mozley secured Player of the Week honors, while Nunez earned Defender of the Week for the second-consecutive week.
Mozley, a second-year Tornado from Lexington, South Carolina, scored three goals in another unbeaten week for Brevard. The forward put two goals through in a dominant 9-0 victory over Carolina University last Tuesday, and followed it up with a score in a 2-0 decision vs. Meredith in the USA South opener last Friday.
Through just six matches in 2025, Mozley has found the back of the net eight times with an assist for 17 total points, scoring multiple goals on two occasions this season.
Nunez, a junior goalkeeper from Homestead, Florida, tended the net twice for the Tornados in their dominant victories, recording six total saves, a solo shutout, and a combined shutout while facing 13 total shot attempts. Additionally, Nunez logged her third career assist in the triumph over CU.
The Tornados continue USA South action with a 6 p.m. matchup on Tuesday at Greensboro, and finish the two-match road swing on Saturday at William Peace, with kickoff slated for 2 p.m. BC returns home on Monday, Sept. 29 at 5 p.m. to take on Oglethorpe.
