BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College track & field program has announced its schedules for the upcoming indoor and outdoor seasons of competition.
"We are really excited about our indoor and outdoor track schedules this year," commented Director of Track & Field Josh Hall. "With the new banked tracks coming into North Carolina, it will push and make our athletes better with great competition. The spacing of the meets will give our athletes the focus in training that they will need to perform."
The Tornados will compete in three regular season indoor meets, and a total of four regular season outdoor meets. Each season culminates with the 2026 USA South Conference Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Impressively, the Tornados will compete within state lines for the totality of 2026.
BC's indoor season is highlighted by a pair of meets at the brand new banked indoor track facility, located in nearby Mill Spring, North Carolina at the Tryon International Equestrian Center. Tryon International announced installation plans of a custom-designed Mondo Super X 720 track, enabling the center to host full track meets beginning this winter.
The Tornados will compete in both the Tryon International Collegiate Opener on Friday and Saturday, January 16-17, and the Tryon International Collegiate Meet on Friday and Saturday, February 13-14. Sandwiched in between those meets is a Sunday, January 25 appearance for the Tornados at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. as Brevard competes in the JDL Banked is Better Invitational. BC will return to the Fast Track for the USA South Indoor Championships on Friday, February 27.
Outdoor season begins with a pair of simultaneous meets for the Tornados, as BC will compete in both the 49ers Classic from Thursday-Saturday, March 19-21 in Charlotte, N.C., and the Montreat College Open on Friday and Saturday, March 20-21 in Montreat, N.C.
The outdoor campaign is highlighted by the Third Annual Tornado Classic on Friday, April 3 at the Frank Patton Track on the BC campus. BC will also compete locally at the Asheville Bulldog Invite on Friday and Saturday, April 10-11, hosted by UNC Asheville ahead of the 2026 USA South Outdoor Championships on Friday and Saturday, April 24-25 in Concord, North Carolina.
