The USA South Athletic Conference's women's lacrosse coaches have released their 2026 preseason poll. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.

Meredith was placed atop the rankings thanks to receiving 81 total points and nine of the possible ten first place votes. Last spring, the Avenging Angels captured their 11th consecutive USA South tournament title and the program's eighth regular season crown. Piedmont sits second in the poll with 72 total points and the remaining first place vote while Methodist rounded out the top-three with 63 points.

Meredith is picked to capture the USA South title for the 11th consecutive year, not counting the unfinished 2020 season. Since the Conference's first women's lacrosse preseason poll in 2003, the team chosen first has won the Conference championship 20 out of the 22 years. The two years in which the preseason favorites did not win the League title, the eventual winners were chosen as the fourth-place team by the coaches in that particular year's preseason poll (Shenandoah-2004 and Meredith-2014).

The 2026 USA South Women's Lacrosse Tournament will once again be conducted exclusively on campus sites. The top-eight seeded teams will advance to postseason play which will begin with first round action on Saturday, April 25. The higher-seeded team in each first round contest will serve as the host. The semifinals will take place Thursday, August 30 with the finals occurring on Saturday, May 2. The highest-remaining seed after first round play will host each semifinal contest as well as the championship.
