TOCCOA FALLS, GA. - A four hit day from Blaine Durham (Westfield, N.C.) and a three run home run from Brayden Morris (Pulaski, Va.) helped the Tornado's offense collect 15 hits on the afternoon en route to their second win on the young season. The Brevard College Tornados (2-3) left the Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles (0-5) with no voice on Tuesday as they soared to victory 12-3 in their nonconference matchup.

Durham collected his first four hit game of his career and 2 RBI while Schuyler Martire (Pine Brush, N.Y.) added in three hits on the afternoon, tying with Durham for the team lead in hits on the season.

A four run seventh inning behind the bat of Brayden Morris helped the Tornados blow the game wide open, as they grew their lead to ten. Morris collected three of his four RBI for the game on one swing of the bat as he sent the inside pitch over the left field fence for his first career home run.

The Tornados opened up the game with a three run first inning, jumping out to an early lead for redshirt junior Jake Christian (Winston-Salem, N.C.) as he took the mound in his first start of the season. He went 2 ? innings, allowing two runs on four hits.

Brevard made a statement early, using a run in the second and a pair of runs in the third and fourth to jump out to an 8-2 lead.

Toccoa Falls would tack on their final run of the game in the bottom of the seventh, bringing the game to its final score of 12-3.

Freshman Kristofer Yarbrough (Monroe, N.C.) earned his first win of his collegiate career in 2 ? innings of work as the Tornados saw five arms get action out of the bullpen. Fellow freshmen Matt Lynch (Hartsville, S.C.) and Bryce Foster (Brevard, N.C.) both threw an inning of scoreless relief.

With the 15-hit outburst, the Tornados saw a plethora of production from their offense. Joe Nelms (Malabar, Fla.) tacked on two hits and two RBI and Ryan Roon (Dallas, Ga.) added in two hits of his own to propel the Brevard bats. With their performances today, Morris is currently third in the SAC in hitting with a .583 average and Martire is in fifth with a .526 average.

With their win against the Screaming Eagles, the Tornados are now 5-0 while playing in the state of Georgia since the 2014-2015 season.

The Tornados will return to the diamond on Saturday as they once again travel to Georgia to take on Shorter University in a three game series with first pitch set for noon.
