BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College women's soccer program has made its first-ever appearance in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA DIII Region VI Rankings, slotting in at eighth following the squad's second-consecutive USA South Conference Regular Season Championship.
The title is BC's first consecutive regular-season championship for Brevard College since joining the NCAA ranks in any sport, BC's first back-to-back regular-season title since Men's Basketball won the AAC regular-season title in consecutive seasons when the Tornados were a member of the NAIA. The Tornados have secured the top seed in the 2025 USA South Conference Women's Soccer Tournament for the second-straight season.
Brevard has maintained an unbeaten streak of 33 matches since the beginning of the 2024 campaign — the second-longest active streak in NCAA Division III women's soccer, while also being tied for the second-longest active streak across all divisions of NCAA women's soccer. With the USA South tournament running through Brevard, the Tornados will aim to defend their 28-match home unbeaten streak that began on Oct. 18, 2022.
Through 15 matches this fall, the Tornados have outscored opponents 64-3 and continue to rank among the nation's statistical leaders both individually and as a team. BC's 15 wins to start the 2025 campaign give the Tornados far-and-away the best start to a season in program history during the NCAA era.
BCWS has positioned itself exceptionally well nationally, currently ranking 34
th in the NCAA DIII NPI Selection Rankings. The 2025 USA South Conference Women's Soccer Tournament begins this Saturday at 5 p.m. with first-round action at Ives-Lemel Family Field.
