BREVARD, N.C. – Freshman placekicker Hayden Vandegriff was selected as the USA South Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week following a perfect performance in Brevard College's narrow home defeat to Huntingdon.
 
Vandegriff, a first-year Tornado from Sautee Nacoochee, Ga., went 4-for-4 on field goal attempts including a long of 39, while also going 2-for-2 on extra-point tries to account for 14 of BC's 26 points against the Hawks.
 
Overall in 2025, Vandegriff is 9-for-14 on field goal attempts and 20-for-21 on extra points, serving as the primary placekicker for the Tornados since week two of the 2025 campaign.
 
BC squares off against Methodist this Saturday at 1 p.m. in Fayetteville, N.C. in its final road matchup of the season before returning home to conclude 2025 with Senior Day and Alumni Day on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. vs. NC Wesleyan.
