BREVARD, N.C. – Sophomore wide receiver and return specialist
Jeremyah Lane secured USA South Conference Special Teams Player of the Week following an impressive individual performance in Brevard College's 34-7 road win at Greensboro.
Lane, a second-year Tornado from Louisville, Ga., recorded his first collegiate offensive and special team touchdowns, accounting for 12 of BC's 34 points last Saturday. Lane rushed for a 23-yard first quarter touchdown before a house-call with a 92-yard kickoff return to start the third quarter.
Lane has served as a critical special teams component for the Tornados in 2025, returning 12 total kicks for 366 yards, averaging 30.5 yards per kickoff return and 52.3 kickoff return yards per game. Lane has also taken 13 punts back for 161 yards, averaging 12.4 yards per return and 23 punt return yards per game.
The Tornados return home after two weekends away, kicking off a showdown with Huntingdon at noon at Ives-Lemel Family Field this Saturday.
