CONCORD, N.C. – Sophomore thrower
Antonio King was selected as the Field Athlete of the Meet at the 2025 USA South Conference Championships, as several Brevard College student-athletes took home All-Conference medals at the event.
King, a first-year Tornado, earned All-Conference First Team honors in both Hammer Throw and Discus to secure Field Athlete of the Meet honors. Fellow thrower
Noah Westbrook also won a conference championship, securing All-Conference First Team in Shot Put.
Freshman thrower
Donningtun Walters secured All-Conference Second Team in Hammer Throw and Discus, while
Cameron Eubanks was All-Conference Second Team in Shot Put.
Jaxsen Wilkerson earned Third-Team All-Conference accolades in both the High Jump and Triple Jump, joined by
Hank Tarte in Discus. BC's 4x100m Relay squad of
Jeffrey McDougald,
Owen Plucar,
Seth Robinson, and
Reggie Taylor II earned All-Conference Third Team accolades with a third-place finish in the event.
Kinsley Burris-Whitesides, a freshman thrower, secured an All-Conference Second Team honor for the women's squad on day one in the Hammer Throw. BC followed that up on day two as its 4x100 relay squad of
Sarah Bare,
Serenity Jordan,
Haylea-Layne Miller, and
Imani Singleton secured a second-place result. Additionally, Bare collected an All-Conference Third Team finish in the 100-meter dash.
Following the event, McDougald and Miller represented the Tornados on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
