BREVARD, N.C. – Rodney Robinson has been named Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Brevard College, announced Head Coach Lee Burgess. Robinson will begin his duties immediately in advance of the 2026-27 season.

"I am very excited to have Rodney join our program," said Coach Burgess. "He has a hunger to be here that was evident throughout the interviewing process. I can not wait to get to work with him. I know our student-athletes will be better by having him involved in the program."

Robinson joins the staff following three years as the Director of Player Personnel & Recruiting for Pro Skills Basketball in Tampa, Florida. In that time period, Robinson also served as an Assistant Coach at Sickles High School for two seasons.

"Basketball has always been more than a game to me," said Robinson. "It is a passion that has shaped my life and fueled my desire to impact others through coaching. I am incredibly grateful and honored to join Brevard College and excited for the opportunity to help continue the vision Coach Burgess has for this program."

In his time with Pro Skills Basketball, Robinson led recruiting and player personnel strategy for one of the region's most competitive programs, producing 27 collegiate athletes in three years with an 80-percent college placement rate. At Sickles High School, Robinson developed all-conference, all-state, and collegiate-level athletes.

"A special thank you to Coach Burgess for trusting in me and allowing me to be a part of something special," said Robinson. "I am thankful to God, my family, mentors, and everyone who has poured into me throughout this journey. I cannot wait to get to work and help our student-athletes grow on and off the court. Go Tornados!"

Robinson graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Medical Humanities with a minor in Psychology from Saint Leo University. He earned his MBA with a concentration in Sports Management from Southeastern University in 2026.
