BREVARD, N.C. – Senior forward Mikayla Zvekan and junior goalkeeper Abby Nunez earned USA South Conference weekly accolades after the Brevard College women's soccer program clinched its second-consecutive USA South Regular Season Championship.
 
Zvekan earned USA South Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, while Nunez claimed Defender of the Week for the third time in 2025.
 
Zvekan, a Draper, Utah native, scored two game-winners last week for the Tornados, bringing her nation-leading GWG total to nine this season. Zvekan put the Tornados up in the second half of their 2-0 home win against Johnson & Wales, and scored the only goal in the regular season title clincher at Southern Virginia.
 
Zvekan is the program's career leader for goals (30), assists (23), and points (83), and is fast-approaching single-season records having tied the points mark at 41 while sitting three goals away from shattering the single-season NCAA-era goals record.
 
Nunez, a third-year Tornado from Homestead, Fla., recorded consecutive solo shutout performances to keep the BC perfect season intact. Nunez made a pair of stops in BC's victory over JWU, and turned in a career performance with a career-high 10 massive saves to help the Tornados earn regular season championship honors at SVU.
 
Nunez, Zvekan, and the rest of the unbeaten BC women's soccer team will close out the regular season on Wednesday at 5 p.m. vs. Pfeiffer at Ives-Lemel Family Field before beginning its 2025 USA South Tournament run on Saturday at 5 p.m. at home.
