Kincaid Named Head Coach of Brevard College Women’s Lacrosse

BREVARD, N.C. - Brevard College is pleased to announce the hiring of McKenna Kincaid as Head Coach of the BC Women's Lacrosse program.

"We're excited to welcome Coach Kincaid as the leader of our women's lacrosse program," commented Associate VP for Athletics Dr. Myranda Crews. "As we continue to rebuild, we were looking for someone who could establish a strong culture, develop student-athletes, and create a clear vision for sustained success. With the support and leadership of our new Director of Women's Lacrosse, Coach Scott Tucker, we're confident this collaborative approach will strengthen every aspect of the program and position us for long-term growth. We believe Coach Kincaid is the right person to lead this next chapter, and we're excited about the future of women's lacrosse at Brevard College."

"Coach Kincaid's passion for coaching and genuine excitement to lead this program were evident throughout this process," added Director of Women's Lacrosse Scott Tucker. "From the very beginning, her enthusiasm and energy were impossible to miss. We're confident that her leadership will inspire the team every day, and I am excited to see the impact she will have on the future of Brevard Women's Lacrosse."

Kincaid arrives at Brevard after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Montevallo, where she played an integral role in the daily operations of the NCAA Division II program. Her responsibilities included recruiting coordination, practice planning, film analysis, scouting report development, academic progress monitoring, student-athlete development, travel coordination, and mentorship. She also coached the midfield and draw units while contributing to the program's continued success in the Gulf South Conference.

"I couldn't be more excited to become the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach at Brevard College!" stated Coach Kincaid. "I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who took part in the interview process for their time, support, and confidence in me. Throughout the process, I felt a genuine sense of community and support that made this opportunity feel like the perfect fit. I am eager to get to campus, connect with our student athletes, and begin building a program that competes with passion, integrity, and pride. It's an honor to join Nado Nation and I'm excited for everything that's ahead!"

Before Montevallo, Kincaid spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Saint Leo University, helping guide one of the top Division II programs in the country. During her tenure, the Lions achieved the highest national rankings in program history, recorded the program's first Sunshine State Conference Tournament victory, earned a top-10 win, and produced multiple all-region performers. Kincaid coached the midfield and draw units, including the Sunshine State Conference Midfielder of the Year and the conference's all-time career leader in draw controls. She also worked extensively in recruiting, player development, scouting, academic support, and program administration.

In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, Kincaid has served as a head coach with LIFT Lacrosse since 2019, overseeing all aspects of the club program, including athlete development, recruiting guidance, practice planning, mentorship, camp operations, and leadership development. Her experience working with student-athletes at multiple levels has helped establish a reputation for developing talent while fostering a positive, athlete-centered culture.

Kincaid was selected for the inaugural cohort of the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Aspire Program, a leadership development initiative designed to prepare and advance future head coaches in collegiate women's lacrosse. She completed the program in 2025 and has been active in talent evaluation through participation in American Select tryouts and national recruiting events.

A former collegiate student-athlete and team captain, Kincaid earned a Master of Business Administration in Sports Business from Saint Leo University and a bachelor's degree in Strategic Communication and Public Relations from Notre Dame College, where she minored in coaching.
